Sophie and El are two of the most welcoming and warm humans. I had the great honor of capturing their surprise proposal at Powell Butte one afternoon. A glorious event that ended with champagne, an impromptu gathering of friends and a full rainbow.

When they asked me to photograph their wedding at Blockhouse, I was really excited. This intimate venue is the perfect place to tie the knot if you enjoy plants, an open and versatile kitchen, and a relaxed a warm ambiance.

We started the day at ACE hotel in Downtown Portland. A slow morning bouncing between Sophie and El’s room, getting to know family and friends, taking candids. We then made the trip to Pomarius where I witnessed a heartfelt ceremony and lively dance party with an incredible crew.
