Part II. It’s been almost three months and I’m still dreaming about my time spent with the Hildebrands.
The days leading up to our session, Kimmy had mentioned that they would feel most themselves playing in the sand in Charleston. I couldn’t help but throw out options like the College of Charleston (hello the Notebook) or other places in town but her heart was set on Sullivan’s Island.
When we arrived, all beach access was flooded but we were determined. We hiked up our pants and waded through knee deep water with bags, and shoes in our hands. We giggled as the water grew warmer and deeper, happy we were making our way.
Well this is pretty much my new fave winter day. The warmth of the sun on my face, a view of crashing waves, and the company of the these four sweet humans. Kimmy was right, this family was fully at ease and in their element and I can still vividly remember every moment like it was yesterday.
