I’ve always dreamed of photographing a wedding at Kiana Lodge. I have family ties to this part of Washington and had been eyeing this venue online for quite sometime, hoping a nice couple would come along and swoop me for their wedding date.
Well, that nice couple was more than just nice but also quirky and fun, with divine taste in vendors and personalities that attract the best kind of people. Stacy and Braden are sweet humans down to their core, living to make one another laugh; never taking life too seriously. Their comical side came out during their engagement session in Queen Anne last summer when I made them do synchronized dance moves, and their sentimental side made an appearance in-between tears during their ceremony. Always extra special when you have the chance to see both sides of your couples.
This day hosted some of my favorite candid photos. Heartfelt speeches, artistic portraits during cocktail hour, lots of tears but also laughter. Their wedding was ideal for storytelling because there was so much interaction, joy and celebration to capture from start to finish. Stacy and Braden, I think you are really neat. Cheers to 3 months of marriage!!
